🏇 Worcester Picks – July 17th Selections & Reasoning
We’re back with three carefully selected runners at Worcester today, each backed by solid form, tactical advantages, and favourable race conditions. With the ground officially Good and 10 hurdles to clear in each division of the JIC Transport Handicap Hurdle, we’ve focused on horses that are well-handicapped, tactically adaptable, and showing recent consistency or signs of improvement. Whether you’re looking for a solid favourite or a bit of value, these picks stand out for all the right reasons.

🐎 Nachtgeist 5/2 (2pt win)
Nachtgeist looks primed for a big run here. He ran a solid race on his seasonal reappearance over a similar trip and should come on plenty for that effort. With Sean Bowen booked again and carrying just 11-12, he’s well treated on old form and drops into a very winnable Class 5 contest. The good ground is no issue, and this 5yo remains unexposed over 2m4f. If building on his return, he could easily outclass these.
🐎 Boskill Borden 15/2 (1pt e/w 2 places)
Boskill Borden arrives in consistent form and looks ready to strike. He’s placed on his last two starts and the visor seems to be working well. Dropping slightly in class, he stays this 2m4f trip and has the tactical speed to cope with the ten hurdles. With a featherweight of 11-1 and Shane Fenelon taking the ride again, everything points to another strong effort. On current form and ratings, he’s one of the most solid options in this field.

🐎 Noble Recall 4/1 (1pt e/w 3 places)
Noble Recall looks a strong contender in this second division. He’s thriving at the moment, having won impressively over this same 2m4f trip two starts ago and finishing a solid second last time. The good ground suits him, and he’s progressing well under Harriet Tucker, who keeps the ride. With just 10-3 on his back and a confidence-boosting profile, he could easily go one better here. His consistency and stamina make him a serious threat over these 10 hurdles.
