We head to Kilbeggan this evening for some competitive summer jumping action, and we’ve picked out a few runners who look set to go close. August has started on the right foot for us in the summer jumps — you can check the latest results and stats here — so let’s keep the momentum going. These are three horses I like from the same race, all at prices too good to pass up.
6:00 Kilbeggan
2m Kieran Kelly Memorial Handicap Hurdle (4yo+ 0-100)
Sharetheknowledge 7/1 (1pt e/w 4 places)
With a solid OR of 99 and proven consistency at this level, Sharetheknowledge comes here with a great chance. The Good to Yielding ground should suit, and Darragh O’Keeffe’s booking is a plus. He’s tactically versatile, which could be vital over just 8 hurdles, and this looks like the right race to strike.
Blue Reed 6/1 (1pt e/w 4 places)
Blue Reed is unexposed over hurdles and could be ready to peak after recent runs. The softer edge to the Good to Yielding ground is a positive, and Eoin Staples’ runner has hinted at ability in competitive company. If he settles early, his stamina and late kick could make him a danger in the final furlong.
Arthur’s Victory 11/1 (0.75pt e/w 4 places)
Arthur’s Victory has the profile of a horse who can spring a surprise here. With Danny Mullins in the saddle and a workable mark of 84, he’s well-treated on past form. The Good to Yielding going plays to his strengths, and with only 8 hurdles to navigate, a smooth round could put him right in the mix.
